CFI Project tasks

Figure 2 below describes the three major tasks to be accomplished by the CFI Project.

1.	Building a 7x24 knowledge-based information highway (INFOWAY) system for information dissemination and communication. This involves:
	•	Enhancement of the infrastructure
	•	Implementation of new and improved applications
2.	Developing a next-generation learning model called the Intelligent Flexible Learning Model of Open Learning (IFLMOL). Some systems and components to be developed are:
	•	An intelligent tutoring system
	•	An intelligent student counselling system
	•	An integrated student support system
3.	Implementing e-learning initiatives to improve our academic practices, which include the development of:
	•	e-learning courses and modules
	•	e-learning tools.
